How is this different from a traditional accountant or bookkeeper?
A traditional accountant focuses on historical reporting and compliance. Our Virtual CFO services focus on forward-looking strategy, financial oversight, and decision support. Will I have ongoing access to a CFO?
Yes. This is an ongoing partnership that includes consistent access to your dedicated CFO and senior accountant. You will have regular CFO strategy sessions, performance reviews, and the ability to receive guidance as financial decisions arise.
What does the onboarding process look like?
Our process begins with a comprehensive financial assessment to understand your current financial position. You are paired with your dedicated CFO and complete your first Profit Planning session, where you receive your first of many CFO Intelligent Reports and access to your CFO Dashboard.
What is the length of the engagement?
Our Virtual CFO services are structured as a 12-month engagement. This timeframe allows for proper strategy development, implementation, and consistent financial oversight. Financial transformation requires both structure and continuity, and a 12-month partnership ensures the strategy is not only created but fully executed and refined over time.
Does your service include bookkeeping or tax preparation?
Bookkeeping can be included in your Virtual CFO engagement at an additional investment to ensure your financial data remains accurate, organized, and aligned with your overall financial strategy. Bookkeeping is not offered as a standalone service and must be paired with our Virtual CFO services. We do not prepare or file tax returns. Our focus is on proactive tax strategy and planning to ensure you are positioned to minimize your tax liability and make informed financial decisions throughout the year.
How do I get started?
The first step is to apply for a discovery session. If approved, during this session, we will review your current financial position, identify opportunities for improvement, and determine whether our Virtual CFO services are the right fit for your business.
How much do I need to earn in revenue to work with a CFO?
If your business is in an early startup stage or earns less than $500,000 annually, this service is not the right fit. Our Virtual CFO services are designed for Women CEOs of growing professional services firms, such as marketing agencies, consulting firms, real estate, and other service-based businesses. For businesses earning less than $500,000 annually, consider scheduling a Profit Clarity Session with the SYTP team instead.
